Welcome
Set in an early twentieth-century building, Hôtel Viaa stands on a quiet street in the Quartier des Musiciens, between the railway station and the sea. The façade still has its original shutters and continuous balconies; the interior was fully renovated in 2019.
Thirty-four rooms and suites are spread over five floors served by two lifts, around a small garden of orange trees where morning coffee is taken in the shade.
The Promenade des Anglais is a six-minute walk away; Vieux-Nice and the Cours Saleya market are twenty minutes on foot.
Rooms & Suites
Classic Rooms, Superior Rooms overlooking the garden and Belle Époque Suites with their own sitting room: each category has its own ceiling height and proportions, inherited from the old building.
Air conditioning, double glazing, Wi-Fi and a safe come as standard; some suites keep their marble fireplace, now purely decorative.
La Table Viaa
The hotel restaurant opens onto the garden and serves seasonal Mediterranean cooking built around produce from the Cours Saleya and the day's catch.
Breakfast is served every morning and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday. Non-resident guests are welcome by reservation.
The Riviera
Monaco, Èze, Cannes: the Riviera is easy to explore from Nice by train, tram or bus, with no need for a car.
The reception team is happy to plan an itinerary to suit the season, the timetables and the time you have.
The Casino
It is part of the hotel, on the ground floor and reached directly from the hotel lobby, so guests never need to leave the building. Entry is for guests aged 18 and over, and valid photo ID is checked at the door. Practical details are given in person at reception.
Practical Information
Reception is open 24 hours a day. Check-in from 15:00, check-out until 11:00.
